The Thinsulate™ thermal insulation family of products include a wide selection of insulation weights and thicknesses. Thinsulate™ insulation is used in everything from designer fashions and dress outerwear to skiwear, rugged parkas, hunting wear, gloves, footwear and sleeping bags. Its ideal for insulated applications such as apparel, horse blankets and take-out delivery bags.
Thinsulate™ products are a composition of polyester and polyolefin (excluding the scrim backing that most of them are supplied with). The product is breathable, moisture resistant and can be washed and dry cleaned. It maintains its insulating ability even when damp. It will absorb less than 1% of its own weight in water and is easily dried.
